Average Age of Synth Holders (THORChain Bounties)
Q59. Create a chart displaying how long synth holders keep their synth for. Ideal format is a bar chart of % of users, and # days holding for.
Introduction
When an user swap an asset to rune and add it in a pool it make a Synthetic asset that is a pair of 1:1 two assets of RUNE and firth asset that called is as a mint task. and when that user want to swap a synthetic asset to one another asset that should to burnt this synthetic. So the number of days that she/he hold a synth asset are called as a holder in the current dashboard.
Method
For this we calculate number of days that an user that count on FROM_ADDRESS column hold an Synth asset from date that TO_ASSET columns include an mint Synth asset to date of FROM_ASSET include of burnt Synth asset.
In the current dashboard use the thorchain.swaps table.
A mint is when the to_asset has a ""/"" in it, like ""TERRA/LUNA"" instead of ""TERRA.LUNA"". Similarly, a burn is when the from_asset has a ""/"" in it.
The above chart shows Addresses that hold an Seynth asset from mint date to burnt date.
For the average number of days depicted in the graphs above, synth wallets hold onto their synth assets and blockchains. Synth users may appear multiple times for those who have minted and burned a large number of synth assets. BTC is currently the most popular synthetic asset. When it came to retaining synthesiser assets for exactly zero days, the most popular chains were Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BNB). As synthesisers can handle most of these concerns, this is a good use case for them. Thorchain Synths was launched to alleviate the high gas fees for ETH and the hefty slippage for BUSD for arbitrage on Thorchain. To trade or arbitrage these assets, Synth is an efficient and cost-effective option. Only 45.78 percent of synth holders preserve their asset for more than a day, which means they mint and burn the synth asset on the same day. More than 77% (256 synth users) of synth holders have an average synth hold age of 0 to 5 days when broken down by day.
