Ethereum Users Activity

How many unique addresses have interacted with the Ethereum blockchain in the past 30 days?

    Ethereum Overview

Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that enables developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. It was launched in 2015 and has since become one of the most popular blockchain platforms in the world.

Ethereum is unique in that it allows developers to create their own tokens, which can be used to represent assets or currencies within a dApp. This has led to the creation of a wide range of decentralized applications, including decentralized exchanges, prediction markets, and gaming platforms.

    Importance of Tracking Active Users

Tracking active users on a blockchain project, such as Ethereum, can have a significant impact on the project's success. By monitoring the number of active users, developers can gain insights into how their dApps and smart contracts are being used and identify areas for improvement. For example, if a dApp has a high number of active users, but a low conversion rate (i.e., few users are actually using the dApp to make transactions), developers may need to improve the user experience or add new features to encourage more usage.

Conversely, if a dApp has a low number of active users, developers may need to improve the marketing strategy or make changes to the dApp to make it more appealing to users.

This information can also be used to make informed decisions about future development and marketing strategies. By understanding how users are interacting with the dApp, developers can prioritize new features and improvements that will have the greatest impact on user engagement and retention.

    Building Trust and Confidence

Tracking active users can also help to build trust and confidence in the project. By providing transparent and accurate information about user activity, developers can demonstrate the value and potential of their blockchain project to investors, users, and other stakeholders. For example, if a blockchain project has a high number of active users, this can be seen as a sign of a strong and engaged community. This can help to attract new users and investors, who may be more likely to participate in the project if they see that others are already using it.

Overall, tracking active users on a blockchain project like Ethereum is essential for understanding user behavior, improving the user experience, and building a strong community around the project. By using this information to make informed decisions about development and marketing strategies, developers can increase user engagement and build trust and confidence in their project.

The purpose of this dashboard is to analyze the trend of active users on the Ethereum chain over the past 30 days. Generally, the dashboard comprises three tabs:

    • The first tab provides general information about the number of users and their transactions.
    • The second tab examines active users based on their activity location within Ethereum,
    • while the third tab investigates the behavior of new users during the last 30 days.

Flipside tables have been utilized to generate results and graphs. The most crucial table employed is Ethereum.core.fact_transactions, which contains the transactions made by users on the Ethereum chain. Ethereum.core.dim_labels has been used to determine the location of users' activities or, more broadly, to obtain the label of the smart contract with which users have interacted.

In general, the following metrics are analyzed in this dashboard:

    • Daily number of active users on Etherum
    • Users Distribution
    • Daily number of transactions made by users
    • Number of transavtions based on activity location
