Flow Bridge Analysis (Blocto & Cbridge)

📝 This dashboard provides an in-depth analysis of On-Chain data pertaining to the Blocto and Celer-bridges on the Flow Blockchain. Through this dashboard, you will gain valuable insights into the performance and impact of these bridges, allowing you to make informed decisions and stay updated with the latest developments in the Flow Blockchain ecosystem.

    What is Flow❓

Flow is a blockchain platform designed to support decentralized applications (DApps) and digital assets. It was developed by Dapper Labs, the same team behind popular blockchain game CryptoKitties. Flow aims to address the scalability and usability limitations often associated with traditional blockchain networks.

    Key Features of Flow Blockchain:

    1. Resource-Oriented Programming: Flow introduces Cadence, a resource-oriented programming paradigm, enabling secure ownership and reducing programming errors for digital assets. This unique approach simplifies asset management on the blockchain.

    2. Scalability: Flow's multi-role architecture separates consensus, computation, and storage, allowing for parallel processing and efficient resource allocation. This design enables Flow to handle high transaction volumes without sacrificing performance.

    3. NFT Support and Developer-Friendly Tools: Flow is optimized for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and provides comprehensive developer tools, including the Cadence programming language. These tools make it easier for developers to create and deploy NFTs and decentralized applications (DApps) on the Flow blockchain.

    Bridge 🌉

Bridge platforms play a crucial role in the crypto and blockchain space, offering several important benefits and functionalities:

    • Interoperability: Bridge platforms enable seamless asset transfer and data exchange between different blockchain networks, fostering interoperability and creating a connected blockchain ecosystem.

    • Liquidity and Market Expansion: Bridges enhance liquidity by facilitating the movement of assets across blockchains, expanding market reach and access to diverse user communities.

    • Cross-Chain Functionality: Bridge platforms enable decentralized applications (DApps) and services to operate across multiple blockchains, unlocking new possibilities for collaboration, innovation, and user engagement.

    Methodology

The purpose of this dashboard is to provide an analysis of the data related to Blocto and C-Bridge on the Flow Blockchain. The analysis primarily relies on tables flow.core.ez_bridge_transactions, flow.core.fact_hourly_prices, and crosschain.core.ez_hourly_prices for extracting the results.

Table flow.core.ez_bridge_transactions encompasses the data associated with the mentioned bridges, including the raw values of each bridged asset. Tables flow.core.fact_hourly_prices and crosschain.core.ez_hourly_prices are utilized to calculate the USD equivalent of each transfer by employing the smart contract of each asset and its price.

The dashboard is divided into three main sections: Overall Stats, Bridge In, and Bridge Out. The first part focuses on the general data pertaining to the bridges, such as the bridged volume, number of transactions, number of users, and net amount bridged. The second part examines metrics related to transactions entering the Flow blockchain, while the third part scrutinizes transactions exiting the blockchain. These sections explore several metrics, including:

    • Bridge volume over time
    • Dominance of tiers based on transferred volume
    • Minimum, maximum, median, and average bridged volume
    • Number of bridging users and bridge transactions
    • Dominance tiers based on the number of bridge transactions
    • Comparison of two Blocto bridges and C-Bridge
    • Bridge volume based on transferred tokens
    • Bridge volume based on the source and destination of the bridge

📝 It is important to note that the results in this dashboard are reviewed on a monthly basis.
