-- Which 10 wallets are the most successful Cryptopunk traders? -- Successful could either mean the wallet has accumulated a large balance from sales or has accumulated a large number of Punks. Explain your methodology and findings.

Methodology

We look at the NFT Sales from ethereum.core.ez_nft_sales

We filter all the sales with the following filters.

and project_name = 'cryptopunks'
and nft_address = '0xb47e3cd837ddf8e4c57f05d70ab865de6e193bbb'
and event_type = 'sale'
and currency_symbol = 'ETH'
and buyer_address &lt;&gt; '0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000'

Once we have all the sales, we then look at various metrics such as most profit by buying/selling dates, Top NFTs by cumulative sales, Top NFT sales.
- We look at both the profit in $ETH at the buying and selling time vs profit in $ETH at the current price.
- We also look at the average number of days an NFT is held for the top traders.
We define the successful wallet as a wallet who has accumulated large balance from sales.

Which 10 wallets are the most successful Cryptopunk traders?

Given below are the top 10 wallets which are the most successful traders for Cryptopunk traders, looking at the $ETH price in $USD at the time of selling and buying.
0xedad6b7434acd68ed2814ef961d2164029adb316 is the most successful trader with 551K $USD in profit, they sold 9 NFTs and held the NFT for an average of 33 days and a total of 200 ETH.
0x9264a45901ffe8adf89b18daf8a68f0f416b1dc3 is the second most successful trader with 391K $USD in profit, they only sold 1 NFT with a profit of 84 ETH at the time.
0xf224d1b2152213e4377a5729eb129da58ca906b5 is the third most successful trader with 303K $USD in profit with a total profit of 286 ETH.

The number of days held and the profit are all over the place, there is no direct co-relation.

Cumulative Profit per NFTs

Cryptopunk #8424 is the NFT with the highest cumulative profit. *
Cryptopunk #5422 is the NFT with the second highest cumulative profit. *
If we look at the total profit in $ETH per NFT, then #9001 was the one with the highest profit with 287 $ETH. *

Top 10 NFT Sales

Cryptopunks NFT #8424 is the one with the highest sale with 391K $USD in profits, it was bought on 11 April, 2021 and it was sold on 13 Nov, 2021.
Cryptopunks NFT #5422 is the one with the second highest sale with 319K $USD in profits, it was bought on 28 Sep, 2021 and it was sold on 01 Oct, 2021, surprisingly it was only held for 3 days with a total profit of 81 $ETH.
The highest sales were surprisingly held for shorter amount of time.

Conclusion

Cryptopunks really saw a boom in Oct-Nov 2021, that is when the price of $ETH was the highest plus these NFTS were selling like hot cakes.
Surprisingly the price of $ETH had a big role to play in the amount of profits.
