Optimism NFT Purchasing Behavior
-- Show the distribution of all NFT sales on Optimism by price. -- What percentage of all sales have been above .01 ETH? Above .1 ETH? 1 ETH? -- Do you think that there is a limit to how high a floor for a NFT collection on Optimism can reach compared to on Ethereum?
Methodology
- We find all the NFT Sales from both
ethereum.core.ez_nft_sales
andoptimism.core.ez_nft_sales
tables. - We are only considering sales starting from
2022-01-01
- Once we have all the sales, we then plot various metrics like Number of Sales based on Price, Number of Buyers and Sale Volume, all based on various categories of price on which these sales are made.
- To compare against Ethereum we do the same thing.
- The query are based off of another base query, SQL Credit

- Next most of the sales are for 0.1-1 ETH with a total of 6.5M sales since the beginning of they year.

- The Average NFT Sale price for ETH is 1 ETH whereas for Optimism it is 0.01ETH.
- Reaching a high floor price of 0.1ETH might be possible for Optimism but 1ETH will take a while, since the highest sale on Optimism till date is only 6.15 ETH.
