Network Performance Dashboard
When comparing blockchains' performance, transaction speed is one of the most important factors determining which one is the best fit. Solana is one of the top options which claims a theoretical throughput of 65,000 TPS but How about the real situation it is?
To demonstrate, first, we'll look at the NON_VOTES
and SUCCESS
TPS on each day in April-July 2022.
NON_VOTES
TPS is the number of transactions per secondSUCCESS
TPS is the number of successful transactions per second
The figure shows that
- The average of
NON_VOTES
is 400-500 TPS whileSUCCESS
is 200-300 TPS, approximately - The
NON_VOTES
is approximately higher thanSUCCESS
100 TPS on average - We can see that these numbers (characteristics) have recently been increasing
The graph below shows the total number of successful transactions and the total number of failed transactions for the day. As you can see from this chart, there is a positive correlation between the total number of transactions per day and the number of failed transactions.
Approaching or losing the threshold of 15 million (e.g., May 10-13 and June 13) transactions per day would seem to indicate that the total number of failed transactions per day has increased. This data becomes clearer if we look at the percentage of successful and unsuccessful transactions per day, as shown in the chart below.
As we see most commits collected DEX programs such as Serum Dex v3, Jupiter Aggregator v2 as well as system programs - 111111111111111111111111111111 and cjg3oHmg9uuPsP8D6g29NWvhySJkdYdAo9D25PRbKXJ (Chainlink Data Store Program)
