Task

- Did the Warriors, Celtics, Mavericks, or Heat see higher sales volume?
Method
To find TopShot sales the next Flipside’s Data tables will be used:

First things first
In the plotted chart right here, we can see exactly which games birthed the most moments in the TopShot collection, and the two biggest games in terms of moments minted where:
- Miami Heat VS Boston Celtics on May 21, 17.25k moments minted.
- Golden State Warriors VS Dallas Mavericks on May 22, 16.5k moments minted.
And of TopShot sales during May, did they increase with each game?
Well, this is the not so clear thing, they already spiked before the games began. Specifically on May, 6.
- Sales then decreased after the spike and just rebounded once the first game began.
- For the first game, sales activity did spike to reach a peak on the 19.
- But notice that while volume increases, activity decreases.
- Actually for the big birthing moments, sales did in fact decreased.
- Their price did remained somewhat stable, even increased a little.
- Till they drop on May 29.
- For a spike in DUC volume but decrease in sales.
And how did it go for the teams
well, in the games, no idea.
Pretty nice, with a total of 677k in DUC on sales.
And which one did better
The Golden State Warriors, by almost 2k more in sales and a little more than 100k in sales.
Actually the competence was more fierce down there, with Dallas, Boston & Miami fighting with a closer margin.
But from those first days, the Golden State Warriors did drive more sales, in quantity and amount.
And to close, what where these four teams of the whole collection?
Well, the collection sold 13.94 millions in May. The four teams sold .67 million. So, not a minor part, but definitely not the bigger driver of sales that the whole finals would’ve hoped for.
