$ARB DAO Allocation

    Overview of Analysis:
    About Arbitrum airdrop

1.13% of ARB Allocations have been sent to DAOs within the Arbitrum ecosystem. If you were the Arbitrum Foundation, how would you allocate these tokens across DAO users, and why?

First analyze the top DAOs within the arbitrum ecosystem. Then, provide reasoning through on-chain data as to why they should receive an allocation and how much?

This dashboard is used to investigate the activity of DAO builders on the Arbitrum network by the use of the following parts:

    • DAOs on Arbitrum
    • Activity of DAOs
    • Users interacted with DAOs
    • Airdrop distribution among DAOs
    Methodology

Arbitrum network recently conducted an airdrop. The airdrop was aimed at rewarding early adopters of the network. The airdrop was successful and received positive feedback from the community.

The total ARB token balance is equivalent to 10 billion tokens. The Arbitrum community will own 56% of these tokens. Of this amount, 11.5% will be allocated to eligible Arbitrom users and 1.1% will be allocated to DAOs operating in the Arbitrom ecosystem.

The rest of the community tokens will be sent to a treasury that will be controlled by the new Arbitrum DAO. The DAO allows ARB token holders to vote on how to spend their existing capital. The other 44% of ARB tokens in circulation will be awarded to Offchain Labs investors and employees. These tokens will also have lock-up and non-vesting periods, Goldfelder said.

However, the amount of tokens intended for insiders is very high compared to similar projects such as Optimism. It should be mentioned that Optimism donated 36% of its tokens to investors and main participants.

Unlike ETH, which is used to pay fees on the Ethereum network, the ARB token will only be used to monitor the protocol. The regulatory process of the DAO arbitrage will be automated. This means that users' votes will be directly used to change the main code of Arbitrum.

To handle this analysis, the data from Flipsidecrypto has been utilized. The following steps have been used in this analysis:

    Step 1: Activity of DAOs

    • Popular metrics-> Interaction with DAOs, Total and average paid fee for interaction with DAOs, The capital (ETH) receive by DAO addresses, Active days for DAOs

Step 2: Users interacted with DAOs

    • Active users
    • Newcomers attraction

Step 3: Airdrop distribution among DAOs

    • Interaction with DAOs (0.2 by default)
    • Active users on DAOs (0.2 by default)
    • Attraction of newcomers (0.2 by default)
    • Active days of DAOs (0.2 by default)
    • Total paid fee by interaction with DAOs (0.1 by default)
    • Received capital (ETH) by DAOs (0.1 by default)
