Different aspects of NDC Elections

    About NDC Elections

The NEAR Digital Collective (NDC) is an innovative grassroots movement that aims to establish decentralized governance on the NEAR blockchain. With the upcoming NDC elections, the community is taking proactive measures to ensure the integrity of the voting process. To prevent any potential election fraud, a whistleblower bounty program has been launched to encourage participants to come forward with any information that could help maintain the fairness of the elections. This initiative highlights the NDC's commitment to transparency and accountability, and sets a precedent for other decentralized communities to follow. In this article, we will delve deeper into the NDC elections, their significance, and the measures being taken to ensure a fair and democratic process.

    Methodology

The data provided by Flipside has been used to handle this analysis.

Three houses are considered for NDC elections:

    • House of Merit
    • Council of Advisors
    • Transparency Commission

The House of Merit will consist of members who have contributed significantly to the NEAR ecosystem, while the Council of Advisors will be made up of experts in various fields who can provide guidance and advice to the NDC. The Transparency Commission, as the name suggests, will ensure that all processes within the NDC are transparent and fair.

    • In this investigation, first of all, the general view related to the voting performance and candidates of each house has been drawn:
      • Metrics-> Total candidates, total votes and unique voters, rank of candidates by captured votes, profile of candidates and voters in the NEAR ecosystem.
    • After that, dig into the activity of candidates of each house in the Near social over the past 90 days:
      • Metrics-> The activity of candidates on Near social, most popular actions on Near social and average action per user over time to identify the most active days.
      • Status of candidates on Near social by: Followers, Likes, Comments and Reposts.
