What is Royalty fee?

A royalty payment is a payment made by one party to another that owns a particular asset, for the right to ongoing use of that asset.

Some NFT marketplaces on Solana like Yawww and Solanart do not obligate purchasers to pay royalty fee. But Magic Eden applied the royalties set by the collection creators.

• The average and median of sale price was high for Yawww marketplace.
• From the second week of July, the new user attraction for Yawww has been increased.

Findings:

• As can be seen, the DeGods is the most popular collection on Yawww and Solanart but ABC is the leading collection on Magic Eden.
• The paid royalty fee for DeGods is high on Magic Eden so the users preferred to use marketplaces with no obligation on royalty fee.
• The highest retention belong to Magic Eden and near 68% of users interacted with Magic Eden more than one time.
• The Quantum traders is the leading collection by frequency on Yawww.

Findings:

Its time to explore the royalty fee on Yawww and Solanart.

• As can be seen, the 71% of NFT sales on Yawww belong to sale with royalty fee bucket and only 29% of sales are without royalty payment.
• The volume of sale are very close together and users bought expensive NFTs on Yawww to pay less or no royalty fee.
• The 87% of NFT sales on Solanart are sales without royalty fee and it shown that this marketplace is preferred with this kind of sales.
• The domination NFT sale on Solanart belongs to sales without royalty fee.
