In my quest to understand user behavior within the Axelar ecosystem, I undertook an extensive cohort analysis of Axelar users. This study aimed to uncover patterns by segmenting users based on their sign-up dates and examining crucial metrics that shed light on their engagement levels and interactions. These metrics included the number of transactions conducted, fees paid, average fee paid, bridge volume in USD, unique tokens interacted with, and transfer passes engaged.
To support this analysis, I developed a bespoke database leveraging Flipside tables, which served as the cornerstone for categorizing users by their sign-up month. This was determined by identifying the first transaction made by each user, providing a reliable indicator of their entry point into the Axelar ecosystem. To further enhance flexibility, I integrated a "Months-back" parameter that empowers users to customize the time frame for their analysis, with the default setting being one year.
