Linea (formerly ConsenSys zkEVM) is a zk rollup for scaling Ethereum dApps developed by Consensys - the team behind MetaMask. It is built on Layer 2 of the Ethereum blockchain, so it can aggregate transactions into bundles and prove them in batches off-chain.

Blockchain development company Consensys announced the launch of the alpha version of its Linea Mainnet in a July 11 press release.

I will focus here on this native L2 bridge and analyze it in depth from the beginning until today.
