What is Lido?
Lido is a liquid staking solution for ETH 2.0 backed by industry-leading staking providers. Lido lets users stake their ETH - without locking assets or maintaining infrastructure - whilst participating in on-chain activities, e.g. lending.
In this dashboard, we will explore some metrics on Lido on ETH staking like the amount of ETH staked, unique depositor and the avg, median, max, min, and distribution of ETH deposits.

Overall Stats
- After Mid-May 2022, the ETH stake volume severely decreased.
- We can see that in May 2022, with the market crash, the volume of ETH staking dropped and hasn’t recovered yet.
- In April 2022, the highest amount of monthly average ETH deposits reached with 82.7ETH.
- May 2022 has the lowest Median amount (0.01 ETH).
- The monthly Maximum amount deposit decreased in June 2022 by more than 70%.
- About 30% of daily users have used the platform before.
- about 92% of users had 1 or 2 ETH staking transaction on Lido.
- About 44% of total deposit Volume comes from deposit amounts of more than 5,000 ETH.
Summary
- 4.17M ETH have been staked on Lido.
- The ETH price drop caused a decrease in the USD value of staked ETHs by more than $5.2B from $12.09B to $6.83B.
- The average deposit amount on Lido is 33.9 ETH.
- There are 80.6K users on Lido(ETH) that made 122.9K transactions.
- On average, each user made 1.52 transactions.
- The first spike in the volume of ETHs staked was on August 2021 and the second spike was on February 2022.
- The daily volume of ETH staked decreased severely in May 2022 and hasn’t recovered yet while the daily transactions and new stakers haven’t changed that much. this shows that the platform still attracts new users but they stake ETH by a small amount. this could be because of the active campaigns on WEB3 (the median and average amount of ETHs staked reached the lowest values in this period).
- About 30% of daily users have used the platform before.
- About 8% of users had more than 2 ETH staking transactions on Lido.
- Deposit volume in about 52% of transactions is less than 1 ETH.
- About 44% of total deposit Volume comes from deposit amounts of more than 5,000 ETH.
Methodology
- The ETH staking transactions were extracted form
ethereum.core.ez_eth_transfers
table by filtering transfer transactions to the address:0xae7ab96520de3a18e5e111b5eaab095312d7fe84
- Daily ETH prices were extracted from
ethereum.core.fact_hourly_token_prices
table by averaging hourly prices. - To understand distribution of ETHs deposited, 2 classifications were used:
- Classification 1:
- Less than 0.01 ETH
- [0.01-0.1)
- [0.1-0.5)
- [0.5-1)
- [1-2)
- [2-5)
- [5-20)
- [20-100)
- More than 100 ETH
- Classification 2:
- Less than 100 ETH
- [100-200)
- [200-300)
- [300-500)
- [500-1,000)
- [1,000-2,000)
- [2,000-5,,000)
- [5,000-10,000)
- More than 10,000
