In this dashboard the percentage of users that are receiving IL insurance is calculated from the total users that are removing liquidity.

This analyze is done based on daily and total IL protection receivers from all users of liquidity removers.

Introduction:

According to the explanations provided by Thorchain Doc, the Impermanent Loss is defined accordingly. Since losses increase as the price difference between the two assets in a pool increase, this more accurately describes the effect. But, the term "impermanent" is more widely used, despite the fact that these losses can very easily become permanent. Impermanent loss is the difference between holding tokens in your wallet versus staking them in a liquidity pool.

To avoid this impermanent loss, some users that are liquidity removers are applied IL protections.

Based on my analysis, the percentage of users that use IL protection is 21.1% of total liquidity removers and its shown in this pie-chart.

The daily percentage of IL insurance users from total liquidity removers since start of 2022 is shown in this chart. By considering the data that provided by Flipside community, the number of liquidity removers is increased from start of March. The total users and IL protections used users both are shown in this graph. Also, the daily percentage of users shown, too. The maximum value of IL insurance percentage happened on Jan 23 with 48% of daily liquidity removers.
