The goal of this dashboard is to briefly explain my experience in making this, using the Flipside Crypto’s tools & give the Ethereum Analysis required.

    • Flipside provides Data Banks on differents Blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, Algorand, and a lot more.
    • One of the methods to use these data banks is by the Velocity App, which after you log in, you have access to a workspace where you can make this dashboard you’re reading.
    • Finally a Bounty is required to submit your “work”, in other words the dashboard

Because the contest in Layer3 is about getting started in Flipside:

    • I though that before reaching the Analysis i’ll provide a short explanation on the topic:
      • The Bounty to complete in Flipside is related to look at the number of swaps made in Sushiswap.
      • A Swap in this context, is an exchange between 2 addresses (also knows as wallets or users), and the thing being exchanged is as a token.
      • A Token it refers to the different crypto-currency/stablecoins used in the exchange, in this case the bounty ask for the USDC/WETH/WBTC tokens.
      • Sushiswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) a marketplace where the transactions occur directly between the users.
    • In resumen the bounty is about analyzing in a certain timeframe, the swaps of USDC-WETH & WBTC-WETH made in Sushiswap.

The following Graphic is the example provide by dolfo_lima which completes the challenge issued in the walkthrough.

    • In this example, we can look at how the volume of USDC swapped is by far a lot greather than the WBTC volume.
    • But we can see how the spikes are the same in both USDC/WBTC, in the 6 and 11 of April.

Now i’ll provide my own analysis on the matter

    • In Sushiswap there are 1252 distinct pools, which can be see in the graphic of the left, USDC-WETH is the most active with 25.723 swaps made in July.

    • Most active pools are related with the USD and ETH, USDC-WETH and WETH-USDT takes the 17% of the total pool swapping activity in July.

    • Sushi the Stablecoin of Sushiswap takes the 6th place with 5464 swaps.

    I’ll take USDC-WETH, WBTC-WETH, DAI-WETH, LDO-WETH, CVX-WETH and SUSHI-WETH to make a swap comparison in July.

Resume the trends of all the pools in July:

    • USDC-WETH as always has the most activity, at the start of the month presents a downtrend in swap activity and volume until July 9-10, then it raises to the maximum peak of the month in July 18-19.
    • WBTC-WETH has the lowest activity and volume but still it’s swap activity presents a peak in July 16, and in July 19 a token volume peak.
    • DAI-WETH swap activity peak is in July 16 and volume in July 18-19.
    • LDO-WETH swap activity and volume peak is in July 13.
    • CVX-WETH swap activity and volume peak is in July 5.
    • SUSHI-WETH swap activity and volume peak is in July 10.

Most of the pools are correlated when they reach their spike in July 16-19, SUSHI is the exception with a spike when every other pool presents a downtrend in July 10.

    Summary

    • USDC-WETH is the Pool with most activity in the Walkthrough and in July 2022, having more than 10% of the total swap activity in Sushiswap.
    • WBTC-WETH Pool doesn’t have the same caliber of activity than the top 1, but is correlated with it.
    • SUSHI-WETH Pool doesn’t correlate well with the rest of the pools, presenting spikes when the rest is in a valley.
    • Swap Activity during July isn’t different with April data, in USDC-WETH, but token volume presents a notable difference, their spikes are:
      • Swap Count: 1519 in April 6 vs 1663 in July 18
      • Token Volume: 31.8M in April 6 vs 13.8m in July 19

Now to complement the walkthrough i’ll take the chance to dive deeper in Flipside Data and look at the swap activity in Sushiswap in July 2022
