Overview
Solana embodies the necessary components that will assist in the mass adoption of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Since the conception of blockchain, many different blockchain networks have dealt with one focal and pivotal issue; the issue of low TPS/scalability. Solana is a single-layer blockchain with peak transaction times of over 65,000 TPS and 400ms block times.
The Solana Blockchain operates through a concept known as Proof of History. Proof of History can be thought as a time-clock or time-stamp via the blockchain.
Solana TPS and Successful Rate
Daily TPS
- On daily average, total transaction per second is maintain around 500 to 600.
- However, on most days the successful transaction amount per second on daily has maintained around 300 to 400 only.
- The TPS reached above 600 will cause a downturn in the successful TPS to drop, eg. on 8th July 2022. The TPS rise beyond 600 , however the successful TPS dropped below 400, lower than previous day.
- On whole the TPS is correlated with the successful TPS, however when a surge or downfall of TPS beyond threshold will divert the successful TPS .
Success Rate
- 13th June 2022, has the lowest success rate with only 54% in conjunction of the downfall of overall Solana TPS.
- However, lately the success rate is maintain around 70% rate over the time.
- On 9th July 2022, the success rate has rise near to 80%. The highest among days within last 30 days.

General
- December 2021 recorded the highest overall TPS over last 8 months, with a total of 703 TPS.
- Since then, the TPS dropped gradually over the month, until April 2022 reaching the bottom of 270 TPS.
- Then, it rebound again.
- The success TPS is always below overall TPS. There is certain amount of gap between both TPS.
Monthly Success Rate
- February and March 2022, were having the highest success rate among all. With near to 80% on the particular month. Optimum TPS seems to be around 600 TPS.
- Since during December 2021, the overall TPS reached up above 700 TPS but the success rate still around 74% only.
- However, the success rate is also dependent on the overall TPS as well. During April and May 2022 a drop in overall TPS has caused the fallen of success rate.
Bot Activity
- Bot activity on May 2022 has recorded the highest among all other months. With so, we can see that the success rate on May has recorded the lowest.
- Bot activity is inversely proportional to the success rate.

The chart on the left is showing the TOP 10 addresses which paid the most for failed transactions.
- The highest amount paid for failed transaction for a single wallet has reached above 800 SOL.
- While 2nd and 3rd following closely to the TOP 1 as well.
- The lowest amount TOP 10 has recorded with around 400 SOL paid for failed transactions.
