Introduction

Genopets is a Move-to-Earn mobile RPG built on the Solana blockchain. Through the innovative use of blockchain technology and progressive gaming mechanisms, it aims to reward players for exercising their bodies and minds.

In short, the core idea of Genopets -> Move-to-Play + Play-to-Earn = Move-to-Earn Gaming

In this dashboard, we will look into the trend for the Genopets NFT collection by analysing the daily purchase count, SOL volume and number of unique purchaser. Next, we will examine the amount of $GENE staked by day, as well as the total unique wallets that have staked $GENE since it's inception on May 18th. Finally, we will look at the percentage of stakers that have previously purchased a Genopets NFT.

• The graphs above shows the purchase count of Genopets NFT (bar) and SOL volume of Genopets NFT (line) and the number of unique wallets that have purchased Genopets NFT over time.
• Genopets NFT purchase count peaked on February 26th with 1499 Genopets NFT sales that day whereas Genopets NFT SOL volume peaked on April 5th with 9.91k SOL sales volume that day.
• On February 25th, Genopets Twitter announced an event - Genesis Habitat Treasure Hunt. This created demand for Genopets NFT, as users will have to hunt for 5 crystals with a Genopets NFT in order to mint a Genesis Genopets Habitat.
• From the number of wallets chart, we can observe that the number of unique wallets has been increasing in lockstep with the purchase count and SOL volume since February 25th, 2022 as obtained earlier.
• The most number of unique wallets purchased a Genopets NFT on February 26th, with 643 wallets.

• The graph above shows the amount of $GENE staked by day (bar) and cumulative amount of $GENE staked by day (line) since May 18th.
• May 19th was the day with the most $GENE staked, with 212.66k $GENE staked in a single day.
• The following the peak, the amount of $GENE staked dropped dramatically, with only 31.43k $GENE staked.
• The have been less than 5k $GENE staked per day since June 19th.
• As of July 20th, around 142.99k $GENE rewards has been distributed to stakers.

• The first staking actions of wallets are obtained by using min(date_trunc('day', block_timestamp)). First GENE staking day of wallets is accounted for in order to prevent duplication of wallets that have staked $GENE on several days.
• According to the first section of this dashboard, May 19th was the day with the most $GENE staked. May 19th also has the most unique wallets staking $GENE, with 1583 unique wallets staking $GENE on that day.
• However, number of wallets staked $GENE has been steadily decreasing and remained below 20 wallets on a daily basis since June 24th.
• As of July 20th 2022, there have been 8.94k unique wallets that have staked $GENE since its inception on May 18th.

• The distribution chart above shows the percentage and number of stakers that have previously purchased a Genopets NFT.
• According to the donut above, 2368 or 26.5% of all stakers have purchased a Genopets NFT prior to staking $GENE.
• There are 6573 or 73.5% of stakers that have not purchased a Genopets NFT prior to staking.
• According to Genopets Medium, GENE stakers who own Genopets NFT can increase their daily $KI cap and accelerate daily accrual of $KI and $XP. $KI and $XP earned can then be used to evolve upgrade their Genopets.

Conclusion

1. The purchase count, SOL volume and number of purchaser for Genopets NFT have decreased massively in July when compared to previous months.
2. Since $GENE staking's inception on May 18th, there are a total of 685k $GENE staked and 8940 wallets staked.
3. May 19th was the day with the most $GENE staked and most unique wallets staking $GENE.
4. 2368 or 26.5% of all stakers have purchased a Genopets NFT prior to staking $GENE and 6573 or 73.5% stakers have not purchased a Genopets NFT prior to staking.
