What is MATIC? Staking ?

MATIC is the main token of the Polygon cryptocurrency network and is a layer 2 scalability solution designed to increase transaction throughput and reduce transaction costs for Ethereum users and developers, using a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism to verify transactions and At the same time, the security level of Ethereum blockchain is used. When staking Polygon cryptocurrency, you hand over MATIC to validators running nodes on the Polygon network. Basically, staking helps secure the network and the user is rewarded for doing so.
