Introduction

Utilizing THORChain users can mint a synth asset and use it in different Defi protocols.

This dashboard investigates what is the typical price shift experienced by a synth holder by comparing the current price of the asset vs the price when they minted (relative to $RUNE).

Results

So far (by the time of writing) about 82,5K mints have been executed on THORChain.

The graph below shows the price shift since the synthetic assets have been minted.

We can see that most of the minters experienced a "loss". The most likely percentage is -22%.

Summary

This dashboards computes and visualizes the distribution of shift price in percentage for synthetic assets.

We see that most of the synth holders experienced a loss. In other words, the price of underlying asset in time of minting was higher than its price now.

This is due to the overall market that we have experienced in past four months.
