    Introduction

Cosmos is the network of blockchains. The Cosmos Hub is the first blockchain that will eventually comprise the Cosmos Network. The native token of the Cosmos Hub is the ATOM.

Atom can be used for transaction fees, staking and finally for governance.

The Cosmos Hub has an on-chain governance mechanism for passing text proposals, changing consensus parameters, and spending funds from the community pool. So far, 89 proposals have been voted.

This dashboard provides an overview of past proposals. It also presents insights into changes in vote during the course of voting periods.

What do the voting options mean?

    1. Abstain: indicates that the voter is impartial to the outcome of the proposal.
    2. Yes: indicates approval of the proposal in its current form.
    3. No: indicates disapproval of the proposal in its current form.

NoWithVeto: indicates stronger opposition to the proposal than simply voting 'No'. If the number of 'NoWithVeto' votes is greater than a third of total votes including 'Abstain' votes, the proposal is rejected and the deposits are burned.

What determines whether or not a governance proposal passes?

    There are four criteria:

    1. A minimum deposit of 64 ATOM is required for the proposal to enter the voting period
      • anyone may contribute to this deposit
      • the deposit must be reached within 14 days (this is the deposit period)
    2. A minimum of 40% of the network's voting power (quorum) is required to participate to make the proposal valid
    3. A simple majority (greater than 50%) of the participating voting power must back the 'Yes' vote during the 14-day voting period
    4. Less than 33.4% of participating voting power votes 'NoWithVeto'

    Voting Overview

This section, provides and overview of votes and voting dynamics.

Here you can find Number of Total Participants, Number of Participants who were Validators, Number of Participants who voted for the first time (New Voters), and the average ATOM balance of participants.

You can also find the final votes breaking into ‘New Users vs Regular Users’ and ‘Validators vs Delegators’.

Average ATOM balance of each choice shows what ATOM whales voted for.

    How to Use This Dashboard

This dashboard provides insights into Cosmos Governance. It supports proposal 60 and after. In the box, ==proposal_id==, above the dashboard you can enter the proposal of your choice. Also by the button ‘==interval==’ the presentation of some of the time series chart will be changed. To focus on specific change the ‘==switch_to==’ button can be set. By ‘==switch_to==’ you can focus on voters who changed their votes to your choice in the course of voting.

After setting these tree parameters by clicking ‘apply all parameters’, the dashboard will be updated according your choice.

    Votes over time

Graphs in this section show how votes changed over time. Through the charts we can see that how choices has been changed in the course of voting.

Also we can see when New Users took part in the voting and when Whales particiapted.

    Switchers

    This section focuses on switchers.

Switchers are defined those wallet addresses who changed their decisions during the voting period, and shift from one option to the other.

The percentage of shift between any choices as well as switch over time are presented here.

In case you are interested in switch to specific option, by setting ‘switch_to’ above the dashboard you can updated this section.

The graphs show how that switch is distributed between new voters vs regular voters and between validators vs delegators.

At the list of top switchers that would be most contributor in any macro shift are listed.
