Daily Transactions and Unique Addresses
Introduction
Polygon, formerly known as the Matic Network, is a scaling solution that aims at providing an Ethereum alternative with a fast and low fee transactions.
User adoption is an important indicator of success of a project. User adoption can be measured by number of new addresses over time. However, user churn and activities are equally important. Projects strive to keep and increase users engagements.
This dashboard investigates how Polygon network is successful in keeping users active on the network. Therefore, it provides insights into the evolution of active unique addresses as well as number of transactions on Polygon.
Analysis
The graph below shows the daily number of transactions as well as unique active users since July 1st 2022. We can see that in the past 10 days the number of unique active addresses fluctuated between 193K and 237KM. The number of transactions, however, has been decreased from 2,7 down to 2,2M.
To better understanding of the user growth of Polygon as the available time period is short, we can look into other metrics.
The graph below shows the distribution of number of days users were active in the past 10 days. We can see that about 40K users are daily active users meaning that they constantly use Polygon.
On the other hand there are 600K unique users that were active on Polygon only on one day in the past 10 days. Having 15% loyal user is promising.
The graph below shows the daily number of contract addresses has been used on Polygon over time.
We can see the increasing expansion of contract used.
Conclusion
We can see no growing trend in the past 10 days in number of unique users and number of transactions on Polygon. However, the number of contract addresses shows a growing trend, implying that the ecosystem is still growing.
I concur that still Polygon can grow in used adoption and activities.
