Exchange art is built on Solana where is famous for the NFT market. Magic Eden is the most popular and dominant marketplace on Solana.
This dashboard diving into the key growth metrics of Exchange Art over time and attempts to shed light on the following questions:
- How has the marketplace grown over time and how does that compare to the general NFT growth on Solana?
- Does it appear that 1-of-1 art is popular among many users on Solana, or is it primarily collected by select individuals?
- Are most users on Exchange Art whales or art lovers or both?
- What does the average price look like on Exchange Art?
- How does the holding period of NFTs bought on Exchange Art compare to that of Magic Eden? Are users truly collecting or are they still interested in short term flipping?
- What wallets have been most profitable on Exchange Art and what has their strategy been so far?

The graphs below show how the market share of the Solana NFT marketplaces has changed over time.
Obviously, Magic Eden has the highest market share on Solana. However, as data shows, in the second half of 2022 other marketplaces have gained popularity for NFT sales.
Exchange Art has increased its market share since November 2022. This is more clear when we look into the number of NFT purchasers ad NFT volume.
The graphs below show the key growth metrics of Exchange Art.
The data shows that the number of NFTs that have been sold through Exchange Art has increased since the end of 2022. In the past month on average 200 NFTs have been sold per day on Exchange Art.
The average price (SOL) also seems growing. In the past month, the average price of NFTs sold on Exchange Art was 12,63 SOL. Similarly, the volume of sales on Exchange Art in SOL is growing. This can be partly due to the Sol price drop in the last half year.
Also, as the data shows the daily number of purchasers has an upward trend.
This dashboard provided a detailed insights into the development of Exchange Art.

The findings support that the marketplace has grown since November 2022. However, in addition to Magic Eden, it has HadeSwap and HyperSpace as its competitor. Exchange Art has outperformed Hyperspace, however, Hadeswap is a really important competitor for it.

The data also shows that users on Exchange Art are both whales and art lovers. While the average Sol balance of purchasers is relatively high, many new NFT users are also involved in this platform.

The average price of NFTs sold on Exchange Art in the past month is 12,6 $SOL. The average price has increased significantly since November 2022.

Holding period of NFTs bought on Exchange Art is on average 7 days. However, this range varies over time.

This section focuses on the Sol balance of wallets at the time of purchasing.
The graphs below show how the daily average/median balance of purchasers has changed over time. We can see that since November 2022 the wallets with the higher SOL balance on average purchased NFTs on Exchange Art. In the past month purchasers on average had 31K SOL balance (median 6K SOL).



Comparing purchasers on Exchange Art with Magic Eden we can see that on average the balance of purchasers on Exchange Art and Magic Eden have almost the same balance. However, In December 2022, among purchasers Exchange Art, more whales can be seen, as the average balance of purchasers has surged in that time period.
Holding Time Period is defined as the number of date difference between purchasing and selling an NFT by a wallet address.
The daily average holding is measured by the average of holding time period of all NFTs that was sold in a day.
Graph below shows how the holding time period has changed over time. We can see that in the past 30 days the average NFT holding by Exchange Art users was 7,29 days.
The graph below shows the most profitable wallets in all time. The marker size also represent the number of trades (selling/buying) that the wallet has been done so far.
We can see that except the four most profitable wallets among others we can see the correlation between the profit and number of trades.
Age of an account here is measured as the date difference between the first purchase and the last sell on Exchange Art.
Taking into account the age of wallets we do not see the significant correlation between the age and profit. However the correlation between the age and the volume of trading is obvious.
Comparing different marketplaces we can see that Exchange Art in terms of the average price is in the middle among the other marketplaces.
The average price on Hadeswap is growing. Support and Coral Cube have lost their importance in terms of the average price.
In this section, we examine what is the first marketplace where a wallet purchases NFT from. In other words, we try to find from what platform wallets adopt NFT trading on Solana.
We can see that since the beginning of 2022, the first NFT trading experience of Solana users is linked to Magic Eden.
However, over time some other projects attracted most of the new users like Opensea between April and July 2022 or Hadeswap since December 2022.
Exchange Art in the past two months has grown in terms of contributing to NFT adoption on Solana.
After Magic Eden and Hadeswap, Exchange Art is the third platform where Solana users started their NFT trades.
