Introduction

Osmosis is a decentralized peer-to-peer blockchain using the Cosmos SDK. It is an advanced AMM protocol that allows developers to design, build, and deploy their own customized AMMs. Therefore Osmosis in theory is a vibrant platform in terms of developing and launching new contracts and pools.

This dashboard empirically tests the vibrancy of OSMOSIS contracts.

Analysis

While the focus of analysis is on the period starting with May 1st 2022, first the evolution of contracts in a broader time frame will be presented.

Figure 1 shows the daily number of pools launched on Osmosis over time. We can see a growing launch of pools on overall till the recent bug exploitation in the beginning of June.

Figure 2 shows the cumulative number of contracts.

Up to date, 3950 unique contracts have been launched on Osmosis.

As Figure 3 shows after the Terra collapse OSMOSIS saw a higher number of contracts launched. However, after the halt due to the attack the daily number of contracts launched has decreased significantly.

In total 1486 contract has been launched since the beginning of May 2022.

Top popular contracts can be defined as contracts either with the highest number of being used or with the highest number of unique users.

Figure 5 shows the 10 most popular pools in terms of number of swaps. We can see that OSMO-OSMO has been used most frequently since May 1at.

Figure 6 shows the top 10 most popular contracts in terms of number of unique users. We can see that OSMO-ATOM has attracted the most unique users since May 1st.
