Introduction

On 25-03-2022 THORChain completed the integration of Terra in its protocol. Since then Terra.UST and Terra.LUNA liquidity pools are available to users on THORChain protocol.

This dashboard investigates the impact of this integration on new wallet creations.

Method

There is no data available on the time of creation of THORChain wallets. However, the first action of wallets can be used as it is documented.

For this dashboard, the first time a wallet appears in any of the following tables is considered as the first action indicating the wallet creation time:

• thorchain.swap_events table as swapper,
• thorchain.transfers table as sender or recipient of a payment,
• thorchain.liquidity_actions as liquidity provider

Analysis

The barchart below shows the daily number of new Thorchain wallets created in the 10 days prior to and after the integration of Terra.

Conclusion

The data shows that the number of new wallets sparked the day after the integration of Terra. And the increase in the number of new wallets remained in a higher level of pre-integration for at least a week.
