Introduction

StarkWare is a layer 2 Ethereum solution promising fast, secure, scalable and low cost blockchain.

This dashboard evaluate how low is the transaction fees on StarkWare (L2) compared to Ethereum.

Results

The data shows that in total 2873 blocks containing 45,4K StarkWare transactions have been accepted on Ethereum (L1) so far.

For total 54,4K blocks 50,1 ETH has been paid as transaction fees to Ethereum network.

On average, for each transaction on StarkWare (L2), 0.001102 ETH has been paid on L1.

The average transaction fee on Etehreum is 0.0045 ETH. It implies that transaction fees on L2 is 4 times lower than transaction fees on Ethereum (L1).

The graph below compares the actual average transaction fee on StarkWare and Ethereum in the past 45 days.

The graph below shows the average transaction fees per hour over time comparing Ethereum and StarkWare.

We can see the higher fluctuation in transaction fees on Ethereum.

Summary of findings

So far 2873 StarkNet blocks containing 45,4K transactions have been accepted by Ethereum. Those transactions have paid 50,1 ETH. It implies that transactions on StarkNet have paid on average 0.001 ETH. This amount is four times lower than average transaction fee on Ethereum.
