Introduction

Stablecoins are instrumental in Defi projects.

This dashboard focuses on stablecoins and their popularity for swaps on Algorand.

The popularity is measured by two metrics:

1- the number of swaps that a stablecoin is involved.

2- the amount of stablecoin that have been used in swaps.

This analysis split to two sections. The first section is looking into how popular stablecoins are in using for swaps for other coins (swap from). The second section is looking into how popular stablecoins are in a sense that are demanded in swaps (swap to).

Results

The graph below shows the number of swaps that stablecoins are involved in as swap_from.

We can see that USDC is the most popular stablecoin.

USDC sees an upward trend.

In terms of amount, we can see the same pattern. USDC is the most popular but its trend is decreasing.

USDT has a small share, however its trend is increasing.

Now we turn the attention to the other side of swap (demand side).

We can see that USDC is the most popular while its trend is clearly declining. Both USDT and STBL trends looks upward.

In terms of amount the trend of both USDC and STBL is decreasing.

USDC has a big share of popularity.
