Introduction

Osmosis is a decentralized peer-to-peer blockchain using the Cosmos SDK. IT is an advanced AMM protocol that will allow developers to design, build, and deploy their own customized AMMs.

Osmosis Frontier is a new designed platform which is completely permissionless, which means anyone can add coins or pools. On the Osmosis Frontier, there are pools for wETH and wBTC.

On 26-5-2022, Osmo stakers voted for the governance proposal enabling Superfluid Staking on the OSMO/WBTC(#712).

This dashboard investigates how users respond to this extra incentive for wBTC and wETH pools.

Results

The graph below shows deposits into and withdrawals from OSMO/wBTC pool over time.

We can see a surge in deposits on 26th May (the proposal date).

For OSMO-wETH pool on Frontier Osmosis, we can see similarly that on May 26th the amount of deposits surged. However, the number of transactions has increased one week earlier.

Conclusion

The data shows that the day after the governance proposal the amount of deposits increased remarkably. However, both the number of actions and amount of deposits has decreased the days after,

Moreover, in the week after the proposal the amount of withdrawals has also increased.
