Solana - Unique Solana Programs
Introduction
In this dashboard, we are going to study programs (or contracts) that are deployed on Solana.
- At first, the number of programs that are used per day is examined.
- After that, the top programs are going to be reviewed.
- In the next step, we want to see which program has gained popularity recently.
- Finally, we have to answer whether the bear market has had an impact on programs.
Most Used Known Programs
The charts below show the distribution and the transaction count of the top known programs, it can be seen that:
- Mango Market has a 27% share with over 2.2 billion transactions. followed by Serum and Jupiter.
- Mango Market and Serum programs have executed half the transactions.
- Solana Native Programs such as Token Program and System Program have a considerable share of transaction count. more info on native programs can be found here []
Programs Daily Transaction Count
In this section, we're going to look at the daily transaction counts of the top programs and see how their popularity has changed over time. For simplicity and easier comparison, the graphs of these programs have been compiled into a single graph.
According to daily transaction count data:
- Metaplex has seen some huge popularity before May, but has lost interest after that.
- Memo has seen some interest on May, especially around May 13 but has lost interest since.
- As for Zeta DEX, it can be said that it has kept the interest of users.
- Soland, probably because of its lend/borrow nature, has a very spiky chart, which shows that most users don't interact with it on a daily basis.
- The graph shows that Magic Eden completely lost its popularity after March.
- The chart of Serum also shows a decline. On the other hand Serum Dex v3 has gained huge popularity recently.
- The chart for Jupiter shows a huge increase in interest after May. Its transaction count increased from almost 5M to 20M in a short period.
- Mango Market also show a steady increase of popularity.
- Raydium seems to have gained some traction since early June, but quickly lost it.
- It is interesting to know that the System Program has faced a decrease in the number of transactions.
Conclusion
The main question remains, is development still ongoing in the bear market?
The beginning of the new year has coincided with a bear market. The first chart on this dashboard shows the number of unique programs that has been used each day, it’s obvious that the number of programs have increased. Even though there are some programs that has seen decline during this period, but also programs that has seen increased popularity.
It can be concluded that although it is a difficult time for cryptocurrencies, developers see the light at the end of the tunnel. They continue their endeavours, develop and #BUIDL.
