    Description of work:

    • In this Bounties we want to:
      • How many unique wallets are active on Osmosis per day? How has this changed over time?
      • What has been the largest event that has brought the most wallet activity to Osmosis?

    Note:

    • We use the osmosis schema and [osmosis.core.fact_transactions] table for find number of unique active wallets per day

The results and chart above show the number of daily active wallets on Osmosis. According to the results, it is clear that:

    • It is observed that the number of daily active wallets on Osmosis is increasing from the beginning until now
    • Since the beginning of 2022, this increase in the number of daily wallets has grown significantly
    • In March 2022, the highest number of active wallets is observed, followed by the end of Apr 2022
    • It can be seen that at the End of May, the number of daily active wallets has decreased compared to the days and months before it.

    • For do this, we use the [osmosis.core.fact_transactions] table and [count(distinct tx_from)] per day (group by days)

2 ---> What has been the largest event that has brought the most wallet activity to Osmosis? - News sources

    • In Q1 2022, protocol-level total value locked (TVL) and validator count continued to rise, with validator count being a work in progress when evaluated by degree of decentralization. On the DEX side, Osmosis serves a key role as the primary exchange in the Cosmos ecosystem. Important governance updates include the expansion of superfluid staking to other OSMO pools and the approval of incentive matching for projects that choose to provide external liquidity reward.

    • The total value locked on these three protocols, combined with that of the top Cosmos-based decentralized exchange, Osmosis, gives the Cosmos ecosystem a total TVL of more than $30.25 billion. This makes Cosmos the second-ranked blockchain network by TVL behind Ethereum.

    • Data from Delphi Digital shows that Osmosis, a decentralized exchange in the Cosmos ecosystem, has “outperformed other major peers over the last few months by a substantial margin.”

    • The strength shown by OSMO is in part due to the success of Cosmos, which had a strong close to 2021 as its “thesis of interoperable app-chains has finally started to come to fruition in recent months.

    • Osmosis is now the largest decentralized exchange in the Cosmos ecosystem and supports 37 separate IBC chains with $1.75 billion in total value locked, according to data from Defi Llama.

    • Osmosis also got a boost to its price and trading volume following the release of interchain and superfluid staking on March 1, which allows liquidity providers (LP) on the Osmosis DEX to also earn staking rewards for the assets they have provided liquidity for, making this the first time users can do both staking and LP at the same time.

    • In recent months, the BCNA token has been listed on the Osmosis DEX and paired with ATOM and OSMO tokens within the platform. The BitCanna team will spend the next twelve months developing its Buddheads NFT collection alongside expanding its payments solution to a global market.
