Daily Active User
What does a Daily Active User look like on Osmosis? First, plot out how many DAUs there are on Osmosis. For this exercise, consider a DAU would be any wallet transacting on Osmosis a majority of days every week. Once you have the DAUs, what does their activity look like? Do they LP more or swap more? How often do they transfer tokens into Osmosis? Where are these transfers coming from?
Summary
In this dashboard, we came to the conclusion that the majority of Osmosis users are active users and most type of activity or their transactions is Swapping.
Also, the largest number of transferred IBC tokens is the uatom token
Method
By specifying daily active users, I want to check their behavior and activity in the Osmosis network and answer the questions asked on the left side. In my opinion, active users are wallets that are active in Osmosis most days of the week and perform at least 10 transactions during the week.
In this analysis, I have considered the minimum number of active days to be 5 days.
All charts are calculated from the beginning of 2022
Intro
As “the largest interchain DEX,” Osmosis seeks to compete directly with the user experience of centralized exchanges, such as Coinbase and Binance. Established in 2021, Osmosis is a multi-chain AMM built for the Cosmos ecosystem. The DEX offers interoperability between blockchains using Inter-blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) and Axelar, which facilitate the connection of blockchains within a decentralized infrastructure.
Questions

By filtering the active users from the total number of users in Osmosis, we found that the number of active users in 2022 is 71K users, compared to the total number of users, which is 559K users.
The interesting thing is that the total transactions made in Osmosis in 2022 are 92.9M transactions, of which 76.9M transactions were made by active users. This means that most of the transactions are done by active users
From the middle of July onwards, that is, from July 15 to July 30, the number of transactions has multiplied daily, and almost all of these transactions are related to active users.
The number of active users was growing from the beginning of the year until March 22, but after this date it started to decrease and this decrease continued until mid-July. But since July, the number of active users has reached a daily stability
In the continuation of the dashboard, we will answer the question that the transactions of more active users are for what activity
According to the results obtained from the flipside databases in the Osmosis network, ==swapping== is the most active activity of active users. So that in 2022 they have done ==11.62M swap== transactions so far And just like the number of transactions, the number of users of swap activity is more than other activities and has almost ==3M active users== so far.
The number of active LP users has been ==1.4M== so far, who have made ==2.8M== transactions in this field
The number of unique IBC Token Transfer users is ==1.75M== , and these users have completed ==3.22M== transactions so far.
The most token that users have received from IBC Token Transfer is ==utom==, the number of transactions received of this token is ==582K== transactions, and the number of users is almost ==318K== unique users.
==aevmos== and ==ujuno== tokens are in the second and third places, having received ==460K== transactions and ==385K== transactions, respectively.
In cumulative charts, you can see that the growth trend of ==aevmos== token starts from May and quickly reaches the second place at the end of the chart in terms of the most received tokens.
And in terms of the number of unique users, it is the third place after ==ujuno==
After May 9th, receiving ==uust== token has stopped
The most token sent by users was ==ATOM== with almost ==830k== sending transactions, Also, the highest number of users is for ATOM with ==344k== unique users
Second place is ==JONO== with almost ==593k== transactions and ==291k== unique users
And after these two tokens, the ==STARS== token is the most sent token with ==301.7k== transactions and ==133k== unique users.
Since the beginning of May, the growth of the ==ATOM== token has overtaken the rest of the tokens and since then it has been in the first place in terms of the number of tokens sent.
