FWBpro Airdrop
What percentage of people receiving the FWBpro airdrop have held onto their tokens?
Introduction
Friends with Benefits is a collective of unique individuals who believe in the pursuit of open knowledge for the greater good that improves the world. The idea of this community is to bring others together through a social token: $FWB. Community members can be assured that all members of the group have a stake in the game. By suggesting the future of tokenised access, Friends With Benefits strives to show how a community can achieve scale without diminishing quality along the way.
On 19 March 2021, following the FWB hack, Friends With Benefits migrated to a new token: $FWB Pro. The contract address of $FWB Pro is 0x35bd01fc9d6d6d5d5d81ca9e055db88dc49aa2c699a8, the total supply of $FWB Pro is 1,000,000 tokens, and the ticker symbol remains $FWB.
Next, $FWB Pro replaced $FWB Classic and $FWB Pro was sent directly to the wallets that held $FWB Classic based on the timing of two snapshots (before and after the hack).
In this dashboard we will see how many FWBpros airdroppers have been held their airdrop tokens since its reception.
Methodology
To carry out this task, I have taken into account the amount of FWB airdrop tokens received by each wallets and the current FWB tokens held to their wallets through Ethereum udm_events and daily_balances tables respectively. The first one fitlered by transactions done from FWB treasury wallet, and the second one filtered by each address that received FWB airdrop tokens from treasury wallet. Then, I have computed the percentage of tokens held. If the amount of tokens held is higher than the 85% of FWB airdrop tokens received, then the wallet is selected as airdrop token holder.
Results
The table above shows the total 1027 wallets that received some FWB airdrop tokens. For each wallet, there are represented not only the amount of FWB airdrop tokens received, but also the amount of current FWB held by each wallet as well as the corresponding percentage of FWB held in comparison the the total airdrop tokens received. As said before, to be able to know which percentage of users are holding their airdrop tokens, I selected only those wallets who are holding at least 85% of the airdrop tokens received.
Then, taking into account that inclusion criteria, 77.8% of the wallets are currently holding at least 75% of the total FWB airdrop tokens received, which is a good quantity of users, 799 among the 1027 total users. Then, 228 of them (22.2%) are holding less than 75% of the tokens received.
Conclusion
In this study we have seen that more than 75% of the FWB airdroppers are holding at least 75% of its tokens. Taking into account that in the major of the cases the users who received airdrop tokens tend to sell it, in this case, the dynamic looks so different. It is a good point to start to analyze why this is occurring and develop some insights for the next airdrop to be carried out similar to it.
