In this dashboard, we will analyze the volume of ALGO that are entering and exiting from and to centralized echanges (CEX) since the beginning of 2021.

To carry out the task, I have joined the Algorand label table with the Algorand payment transactions table to be able to filter by label_type='cex' and obtain only those transactions that have been made only from or to CEX.

The results are shown below:

In terms of transactions to CEX, we can see that in the major of the days, the total number of transactions are below 10k. However a few days the number overpassed it. A noticeable day is the April 17th 2021, when the number of transactions jumped to almost 60k, basically for the big number of transactions going to Coinbase. In terms of daily volume, the chart looks very different by dday with many spikes over time. However, there are like 3 big days when the amount jumped: September 8th 2021 and November 16th and November 18th 2021. During these days, the total volume was over 150M of ALGO.

• In November 8th, the major of the volume went to Binance. This occurred because of the 2nd half-year distribution of ALGO staking rewards.

• In November 16th the major of the volume went to Binance and Coinbase, when some big announcement s for Algorand occurred about new listings and new events of tis native assets like Yieldly being lsited on top exchanges.

• In November 18th, the major of the volume went to Binance and Huobi, when the price of ALGO soared more than 75%.

The results for ALGO coming from CEX are pretty similar to the previous ones. In this case, the amount of volume is a little bit less but so close to the amount going to CEX. Then, the analysis of why there were some spikes over time is the same as before. Always, when some news are coming, the volume spikes.
