Q40. Let's use the algorand.swap table to look at users who are using the new DEXes(Decentralized Exchange): PactFi, AlgoFi, WagmiSwap and whether or not they previously used the Tinyman exchange? What percent of wallets for each of the new DEXes(swap_programs:PactFi, AlgoFi, Wagmiswap) had previously used Tinyman to perform a swap?
Introduction
Decentralized Echange are one of the most important field in the cryptocurrency networks. In the case of Algorand, the first DEX available was Tinyman. However, recenly, new DEXes have been launched: PactFi, AlgoFi and WagmiSwap.
In this dashboard, we will analyze the users who are using each of these DEX and take a look if they were using Tinyman previously or not.
Methodology
In this analysis, I have explored the number of active users in each new DEX separately. For each DEX, I have splitted the number of users by whose have used Tinyman DEX previously or not.
The first chart shows the number of active users on each DEX by users whose used Tinyman previously or not used. The next three donuts show the percentage of these types of users per each DEX. The final donut show the global percentage for all DEXes.
Results
In this first chart, we can see the number of active users on each DEX, splitted in users who previously used Tinyman (blue) and users who non-previously used Tinyman DEX (orange).
As a results, it can be seen how the most popular DEX has been AlgoFi, with around 1600 active users. 1248 of them previously joined Tinyman DEX, while 350 no. Then, the major of them used Tinyan previously. The second popular DEX have been PactFi, in which 476 unique users where active. Among them, 355 previously used Tinyman DEX and the rest 121 no, being again more users using previously DEX. Finally, the Wagmiswap DEX was the less popular among DEXes. In total, 40 users have been active there. 32 of the users had previosuly used Tinyman and 8 no.
In terms of percentages, we can see how the most percentage of users that previously used Tinyman have been registered on Wagmiswap. However, the percentages are not so different among DEXes. While in Wagmiswap 80% of users used previously Tinyman DEX, for AlgoFi is 78.1% and for PactFi 74.6%. Taking into account all DEXes active users, 76.4% of them previously used Tinyman DEX. Then, it is clear that the major of the users that are using these new DEXes have also used Tinyman.
Conclusions
In this chart, we have seen the popularity of the new Algorand DEXes in terms of active users. AlgoFi have been the most popular one, followed by PactFi. The second aspect investigated have been which type of users have been using the DEXes, grouping them by whose previously used Tinyman or not. The analysis concluded that more than 75% of them had previously used Tinyman DEX.
