Introduction and methods
Crypto.com is a mobile app that gives you the ability to buy and sell digital currencies as an exchange, store them (Crypto.com Wallet), invest them, earn interest on them and even borrow against them and pay in them.
The app comes with a VISA debit card that allows you to pay for your daily transactions in cryptocurrencies, which is very convenient for users.
One of the currencies that Crypto.com offers its users to trade is RUNE, which can be passed from the Crypto.com platform to or from the Thorchain native wallets.
In this analysis, we are gonna track the $RUNE volume inflow and outflow from Crypto.com to the native wallets over time.
In the first image we can see the volume flow of $RUNE from Crypto.com to the native wallets. It can be seen how during the first months, more volume are passing from native wallets to the app, maybe because of users had RUNEs acquired in the native wallets and wanted to transfer it to the Crypto.com to exchange it.
However, the situation has been reverted since December 2021, where more volume started to be transferred from Crypto.com to native wallets. Then, more RUNE are coming to native wallets than exiting. However, the current volumes are lower than the previous monthly volumes.
In fact, taking a look at the second image, we can see how during the first month when more volume was being transferred from native wallets to Crypto.com, a total of 3M net RUNE passed to Crypto.com. Now that the situation is different and more volume are being transferred from Crypto.com to native wallets, the actual netflow volume is around 2.3M.

In this dashboard we have analyzed the $RUNE inflow and outflow from Crypto.com to active wallets. THe main insights extracted are:
- During the first months, more volume was transfered from native wallets to the app.
- Since December 2021, more volume started to be transferred from Crypto.com to native wallets.
