Solana NFT All-Stars
Overview
NFTs have been the trending topic of cryptowolrd over the past year. In fact, emblematic persons like Mark Zuckenberg told about that and basically, put their enterprise name Facebook a different name so called "Meta" in reference to Metaverse, the world of NFTs.
Thanks to that, the growth of this type of tokens increased exponentially in all the blockchain networks. One of the main networks have been Solana.
As well, Sports NFTs are a growing segment in the non-fungible tokens NFTs market, enabling sports fans to collect digital trading cards, virtual memorabilia, and more.
Sports NFTs are verifiably unique digital assets created on a blockchain to represent digital trading sports cards, sporting moments, digital memorabilia, and other types of sports items.
The issuance of sports NFTs provides an opportunity for athletes, clubs, and sports brands with a new monetization avenue while enabling fans to connect with their favorite clubs and athletes in a new way [1].
Methods
The intention of this dashboard is to compare 1/1 NFTs from popular Solana collections such as Degen Apes, DeGods, and Catalina Whales featuring sports jerseys and other similar attributes.
The idea here is to generate two type of clothes for each collection depending on their jerseys. If the jersey is sportslike, then it will be put on the “Sports” category, otherwise in “Others” category.
\n To try to answer several questions such as if these NFTs sell for more than there in the same collection or if are they sold more often or less often, we are gonna analyze these different metrics:
- Number of sales: totals and daily
- Average price: totals and daily
- Sales per clothes: totals and daily
- Crossover between collections
DeGods analytics
The first collection analyzed is the DeGods. Looking at the number of monthly sales, we can see how the major of them are not including sports clothes as an attribute, maybe because of the major of the NFTs don’t include it. An important statistic here is the downtrend of the general number of sales. Until now, no more than 600 sales have been executed for DeGods including sports clothes, but more than 7k sales have been done non-including it.
Because of the previous statement about the number of attributes related to sport clothes or not, I have taken into account the number of sales per each clothes. In this case, we can see how the numbers are closer. Even more sales are done for non-sports clothes during the major of the months, it seems that during the past months the trends are changing.
Finally, considering the average price per NFT, we can see how the price are similar for both types, but during the past months the average price of sports clothes have been lower than others. In global, the average price are so similar and then, we can consider that for DeGods collection, the sports clothing seems not so important for users.
Degen Apes analytics
The second collection analyzed is the Degen Apes. Looking at the number of monthly sales, we can see how the major of them are not including sports clothes as an attribute with a huge differents with respect the previous collection. In this case, there are more attributes available and it seems that the major of the NFTs don’t include it. In this case, the number of monthly sales decreased from the first months but now, the numbers have been steady around 350. Until now, no more than 88 sales have been executed for Degen Apes including sports clothes, but more than 4.7k sales have been done non-including it.
Because of the previous statement about the number of attributes related to sport clothes or not, I have taken into account the number of sales per each clothes. In this case, we can see how the numbers are still so far. Even more sales are done for non-sports clothes during the major of the months, it seems that during the past months the non-sports average sales has decreased while the sports average remained constant.
Finally, considering the average price per NFT, we can see how the price of sports clothing has been higher than the rest of attributes from the beginning until the end. In global, the average price of sports clothing is 90 while for non-sports clothing attributes is less than 70. Then, for the Degen Apes collection, we can assess that the sports clothing is quite important.
Catalina Whales analytics
The last collection analyzed is the Catalina Whale Mixer. Looking at the number of monthly sales, we can see how the major of them are not including sports clothes as an attribute with a huge differents with respect the previous collection. In this case, there are more attributes available and it seems that the major of the NFTs don’t include it. The number of monthly sales decreased from the first months and continued decreasing over time. Until now, no more than 700 sales have been executed for Catalina Whales including sports clothes, but more than 12.6k sales have been done non-including it.
Because of the previous statement about the number of attributes related to sport clothes or not, I have taken into account the number of sales per each clothes. In this case, we can see how the numbers are closer and are being closer over time.
In global, the average price of sports clothing is 20 while for non-sports clothing attributes is 18. Then, for the Catalina Whales Mixer collection, we can assess that the sports clothing is quite important.
Global analytics
Finally, considering these three collections, we can see how the amount of sales decreased over time, and the major of them are related to non-sports attributes.
However, taking into account the number of sales per clothes, we can see how both types decreased during the first months but the sportslike clothes remained constant since March 2022, while the rest of the attributes continued decreasing.
Finally, regarding the daily average prices, we can see that during the first month the prices of sports related NFTs were below the other attributes, but in April 2022 the situation changed and now, the prices of sports are higher than the rest of attributes and the difference seems to be increasing. If we take into acocunt into the previous analytics, we may consider that the collection that are affecting on this is the Degen Apes.
