Introduction and methods

PoolTogether is a protocol for no-loss prize games on the Ethereum blockchain that not only enables developers to build their own no-loss prize games but also offers governance-managed no-loss prize games. Prize games are pools of funds whose accrued interest is distributed as prizes.

The mechanism is simple. Users deposit funds into a Prize Pool, they receive pool tokens in exchange, the funds earn interest and the interest is distributed by the Prize Strategy as pool tokens. Finally, users withdraw their funds at any time by telling the Prize Pool to burn their pool tokens.

In this dashboard we are gonna analyze how much USDC did users deposits into PoolTogether considering the Ethereum network. As well, we will provide information about the average deposited per user.

Results

During last month, a total of 12.56M of USDC were deposited into the USDC pool. If we take a look at the daily evolution, we can see how in 21st May around 2M of USDC were deposited into the pool. However, from 22nd May to June 1st, the volume was low. In June 2nd almost 1M entered into the pool and then the volume decreased again antul June 12th. After that point, it seems like the volume increased and there have been some days among the last ones where more than 2M USDC have been deposited.

Taking a look at the average deposited into the pool per user, the results show that around 122k USDC were deposited in average, which is a big number. It seems like the pool is dominated by whales.

In fact, if we take a look at the daily average deposited per user, we can see how there were some days when the average spiked and others when the average was so low. During the last month there were 3 main days when the average deposited was higher than usual: May 21st, June 14th and June 18th. In all cases, the average was higher than 490k USDC!

Conclusions and insights

In this dashboard we have investigated about the USDC deposits into PoolTogether pool on Ethereum. We have analyzed not only the daily and total deposits during last month but also teh average USDC deposited per user.

The main insights extracted from the analysis are:

• During last month, a total of 12.56M of USDC were deposited into the USDC pool.
• There have been some days when the deposited volume exceeded 2M USDC.
• The average deposited per user has been 122k USDC.
• The daily average deposited depends in a daily basis. There are some days with high amounts and others with low amounts.
