Solana Transactions Status

I will check the status of Solana network transactions in this dashboard. Items that should be included in this dashboard include: 1: The average transaction fee grouped by hour. 2: Total number of transactions per hour during the last seven days (or more). 3: Total number of failed transactions per hour. 4: Plot the ratio of failed transactions per hour during the last seven days (or more).

    Introduction

Solana is a blockchain platform which uses a proof-of-stake mechanism to provide smart contract functionality. Its native cryptocurrency is SOL.

Solana was launched in 2020 by Solana Labs, which was founded by Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal in 2018. The blockchain has experienced several major outages, was subjected to a hack, and a class action lawsuit was filed against the platform.

Solana's total market cap was US$55 billion in January 2022, however by the end of 2022 this had fallen to around US$3 billion following the bankruptcy of FTX. Following the general rise of the cryptocurrency market in 2023, its market cap rose to $7 billion. Reference#1

    1: Average Solana fee (Hourly):

The average amount of fee paid by users in different transactions in one hour.

    2: Failed transactions:

A number of transactions performed by users/bots usually encounter errors. Although fees for these transactions have been paid by users, they are not performed. The rate of failed transactions on the Solana network is high.

    3: Failed transaction rate:

The ratio of failed transactions to total transactions on the Solana network is called the failed transaction rate, which is calculated as a percentage.

    Methodology

The three parameters that must be extracted from the data tables in this dashboard are:

1: All transactions on the Solana network

2: Failed transactions on the Solana network

    3: Fees paid by users

Flipsidecrypto tables have been used to extract this data, and in this dashboard, table "solana.core.fact_transactions" contains all the data required for this dashboard.

    Tip!

For this analysis, the time period of one recent week is considered (according to the text of the challenge).
