Metrics used in this analysis -

1. Daily Active Users - Number of users that interact with the platform on a given day.
2. Daily Transactions - Count of transactions during a given day.
3. Average Lifetime - Amount of time a player is active on the given platform. (Latest transaction - First Transaction)

Analysis

My research concluded that the following 10 games are some of the most popular games on the Polygon blockchain currently.

Chart 1 compares the daily active users for the top 10 game platforms on polygon. Daily active users is one of the most important metrics that is used in the industry to measure the strength of a platform.

The chart concludes that the Top 5 platforms with the highest number of daily active users are:

1. Pegaxy
2. Decentral Games
3. Crypto Unicorns
4. Bloktopia
5. Aavegotchi

Top 5 Gaming Platforms on Polygon

Chart 2 compares the daily transaction volume for the 10 platforms. Daily transactions allow us to measure how often users are interacting with these platforms/games. Hence determining the level of interest in the games.

The chart concludes that the top highest volume platforms are:

1. Pegaxy
2. Decentral Games
3. Crypto Unicorns
4. Crypto Raiders
5. Aavegotchi

Lastly, chart 3 compares the average number of days a user interacts with a platform. This metric allows us to measure the lifetime of users per game. Higher average lifetime = players keep coming back to interact with the game. Hence, this is an important metric.

Chart 3 concludes that the platforms with the highest average game lifetime are:

2. Crypto Unicorns

4. Crypto Blades

It is interesting to see Decentral Games and Pegaxy to be ranked #6 and #7 respectively.

Per the analysis above, the games rank as follows:

1. Pegaxy - Highest number of daily active users and transactions
2. Decentral Games - Second highest number of daily active users and transactions
3. Crypto Unicorns - High average game lifetime and daily transactions
4. Aavegotchi - High average game lifetime
5. Crypto Raiders - High average game lifetime and moderate daily transactions

Top 1 Gaming Platform on Polygon - Pegaxy

Pegaxy is a play to earn horse racing game. The charts below highlight the strong user growth and transaction volume growth. Both of these two metrics have earned Pegaxy it's place in the top 1 gaming platform on the polygon blockchain.

Insights:

1. Daily users grew from under 1000 users in the first week of January 2022 to over 3700 in the last week of Feb 2022.
2. Daily transactions grew from under 5k in the first week of January 2022 to over 25k in the last week of Feb 2022.
3. On average, players lifetime on Pegaxy is about two weeks.

In conclusion, after identifying the top 10 gaming platforms on Polygon, we were able to narrow down the list to top 5 and top 1 by looking at three key metrics: Daily active users, transaction volume and user lifetime.

The three metrics we used highlight strong user interest in the top 5 games on Polygon. Specifically, Pegaxy performed better than all the other games in the daily active users and daily volume metrics. We also noticed that Aavegotchi users are committed to the game since it has the highest rank in the user lifetime metric.
