Entering and Exiting yvBOOST
In this dashboard we will see the Yearn's new Zapin and Zapout contract ,which allows users to enter vaults from a variety of tokens and exiting vaults into a number of tokens based on the transactions in the recent 6 months. Also, we will get insights on the tokens being used to enter the yvBOOST Vault and also, the tokens that are being used to exit the yvBOOST Vault.
A vault in general is a smart contract which takes a deposit of your underlying asset and issues a corresponding yAsset in return. The main advantage of vault is that it will automatically rebalance to the best available yield generating strategy for your deposited asset.
Yearn's new Zap contract allows users to enter vaults from a variety of tokens and to exit vaults into a certain number of tokens.
The process of users using the tokens to enter Vaults are termed as Zap-in, while the process of users using tokens to exit from the vaults are called Zap-out.
To zap out i.e. withdraw from the vault, you can select one of the tokens available from the drop-down list. Although you can zap in from any tokens tradable on Uniswap (or Sushiswap), you can only zap out to the listed tokens. In general, when looking at the total number of tokens and the amount in USD that have been zapped out, ETH is the most popular option, followed by USDC and DAI
What is Zap-in and Zap-out?
To zap in or deposit to the required vault token, you simply select the available tokens in your wallet to convert to the vault token. In general, when looking at the total number of tokens and the amount in USD, ETH is the most common token people use, followed by USDC and DAI.
Let us explore the zap-in transactions for yvBOOST vaults i.e. variety of tokens used to enter into the yvBOOST vault and the zap-out where different tokens used to exit from the yvBOOST vault. Also, we will explore the Zap-in & Zap-out amounts across different tokens used.
Here is the graph that shows the Total amount across different tokens used in the Zap-in transactions over the past 6 months.
Here is the graph that shows the Total amount across different tokens used in the Zap-out transactions over the past 6 months.
This graph shows the Total number of events count across different tokens used in the Zap-out transactions over the past 6 months on daily basis.

This animated series will take you through the variety of tokens used in the Zap-out or exit from the yvBOOST vault over the past 6 months.
This animated series will take you through the variety of tokens used in the Zap-in or to enter into the yvBOOST vault over the past 6 months.
Observations:
Based on the above graphs and visualizations within last 6 months trend, yveCRV token records the maximum Zap-in amount to enter into the yvBOOST Vault on 30th April 2021, where as 3Crv token records the maximum Zap-out amount during exit or withdraw from yvBOOST Vault on 26th August 2021.
From the above series, we could see that yveCRV, ETH, WETH, USDC, WBTC, DAI, 3Crv tokens involved during the zap-out or exit from the yvBOOST vault in the recent 6 months.
From the above series, we could see that yveCRV, ETH, WETH, USDC, CRV Curve token, FEI, 3Crv tokens etc.. involved during the zap-in or enter into yvBOOST vault over the past 6 months.
