Impact of yvBOOST on yveCRV Vault
In this dashboard, let us explore yveCRV Vault and how has the introduction of the yvBOOST Vault impacted usage of the yveCRV Vault.
What is yveCRV Vault?
yveCRV stands for veCRV-DAO yVault, to wich we can deposit CRV to earn weekly 3CRV rewards and those 3 CRV rewards can be claimed using the Restake or Claim button.
.This vault converts your CRV into yveCRV, earning you a continuous share of Curve’s trading fees. Every week, these rewards can be claimed here as 3Crv (Curve’s 3pool LP token) by using Claim button. These rewards can also be restaked into more yveCRV with one click on Restake button.
This operation is non-reversible: you can only convert CRV into yveCRV, as any deposited CRV is perpetually staked in Curve’s voting escrow.
What is yvBOOST and how it has impacted yveCRV Vault?
yveCRV was replaced with more powerful yvBOOST vault. Consider yvBOOST instead of using Restake button every week. Additionally, yveCRV may be cheaper on the secondary market than if minted directly using CRV.
This vault holds yveCRV tokens, which grant you a continuous share of Curve’s trading fees. Every week, these rewards can be claimed as 3Crv (Curve’s 3pool LP token). This vault automatically harvests these 3Crv rewards and sells them for more yveCRV, compounding your returns over time.
Deposit the underlying vault asset directly or zap in using almost any token in your wallet. Please be aware that for zaps, we use a default slippage limit of 1% and attempting zaps with low-liquidity tokens may fail. Withdrawals return the vault's underlying token or zap out into one of five supported assets: ETH, WBTC, DAI, USDC, or USDT.
you can exit the yvBOOST vault shown in yearn.finance/vaults and recover the yveCRV tokens, but yvBOOST is more liquid than yveCRV hence you might want to keep it instead of converting it.
