Introduction
A Snapshot system allows us to compute the amount of voting power for any vote in a decentralized manner. So, unlike other voting systems, Snapshot uses a decentralized voting mechanism, which allows voting power to be computed in a flexible manner.
Organizations can choose from a variety of voting types supported by Snapshot and with the help of this Snapshot, Proposals can be created and votes can be cast off-chain, so gas won't be consumed much.
\
How does a Snapshot works?
SnapShot requires an Ethereum Naming Service (ENS) domain to be registered before it can be used and this ENS functions almost similar to the Domain Naming Service (DNS).
The Snapshot system enables secure and decentralized management of website domains. So, through ENS, DeFi projects can assign human-readable names to their wallets or IP addresses.
A Space can be defined as a collection or group of Proposals for a project on Snapshot. In this article, we will explore the total number of spaces available on Snapshot, number of proposals added for each Space, total number of voters who has voted for the proposals and the available authors or users who created those proposals etc.. This analysis will be performed using the data available from ez_snapshot table under ethereum.core schema.

Observations
On seeing all the above visuals, here are few highlights observed:
-
arbitrum-odyssey.eth is the most popular space or collection of proposals on Snapshot based on the maximum number of votes casted for their proposals so far..
\
-
In terms of maximum number of proposals for each space, pancake seems to be top most collection or space holding highest number of proposals 1979 on Snapshot.
\
-
There are around 6.4K spaces or collection of proposals available on Snapshot so far. A maximum number of spaces (or collection of proposals) are available on Ethereum mainnet network.
\
-
Also, the Voter address 0xd9293636EE3Aa663fc563ADB0912B0705dAfb62c has contributed or casted maximum number of votes 2.849K across all proposals on Snapshot.
