stETH represents staked Ethereum native to Lido in tokenised form and it makes staked ETH liquid, allowing to participate with any amount of ETH. These Staking rewards accrue daily along with the staking deposit.

Users can submit stETH as collateral, borrow a position, then use those assets to enter the Curve pool, enter the Onsen pool, borrow another position etc.. stETH can be held, traded and sold, or used to interact with other DeFi applications as collateral for lending.

One of the main advantages of staking with Lido is that there is no lockup period. It differs from most other staking services, such as Coinbase, Kraken, or staking 32 ETH as a validator. These staking services will lock your Ethereum until ETH 2.0 is released, which may take years.

By using Lido to stake your Ethereum tokens on the Ethereum beacon chain, users will receive stETH (stake tokens) which represent the Ethereum tokens on the Ethereum beacon chain 1:1. In effect, it serves as a bridge between ETH 2.0 and ETH 1.0 staking rewards.
