Sushiswap - Monthly Swap Volume Analysis
This dashboard provides insights on the total monthly swap volume on Sushiswap over the past year and how has the swap volume changed over time. Also, we will compare the same with Uniswap and see how does this changes in swap volume over time on the two DEX’s.
How Sushiswap differs from Uniswap?
Uniswap and SushiSwap are competing decentralized exchanges (DEXs) built on the Ethereum blockchain, as Uniswap is also a decentralized exchange where anyone in the world can deposit money into liquidity pools or use them to swap between currencies for a small fee. Each pool represents a token pair between 2 Ethereum-based currencies.
Also, While UNI handles more volume and has been around for more time, SUSHI does has some unique benefits such as a yield farming platform and bonuses for token holders. Which means, Uniswap pays their liquidity providers more and has a better interface. Sushiswap is better for yield farming, although that may not last forever.
But, As an automated market maker (AMM), SushiSwap differentiates itself from traditional decentralized exchanges by getting rid of order books while still avoiding liquidity issues.
What is Sushiswap?
SushiSwap is a popular Ethereum-based decentralized exchange (DEX) that allows users to swap tokens, earn rewards via yield farming, and more. It was forked from leading DEX Uniswap, which it initially drained liquidity from via a process called “vampire mining.”
In Other words, SushiSwap is a software running on Ethereum that seeks to incentivize a network of users to operate a platform where users can buy and sell crypto assets.
Similar to platforms like Uniswap, SushiSwap uses a collection of liquidity pools to achieve this goal. Users first lock up assets into smart contracts, and traders then buy and sell cryptocurrencies from those pools, swapping out one token for another.
