Solana Network Performance Dashboard Q95
## Create a dashboard displaying Solana network performance over time.
Question : Create a dashboard displaying Solana network performance over time.
- How has the network performed over the past month compared to the rest of the year?
- Has transaction per second and success rates of transactions gone up recently?
- Is this because of less botting or fewer users, or new improvements from the Solana engineers?
- What wallets and programs have paid the most in fees for failed transactions?
Network performed over the past month compared to the rest of the year
For better analysis, I have divided the transactions of 2022 into two time periods.
- First section of time : from the beginning of the year until before June (for a period of 5 months)
- Second section of time : from the beginning of June to the 10th of July (for 40 days)
As can be seen in the graph above, the number of transactions last year dropped significantly in the months of April and May. But it has increased in June, although the volume of transactions has not yet increased as much as at the beginning of the year, but it can be said that it is on the rise.
According to the graph above, the success rate of transactions in the last 40 days is significantly lower than the rest of the year. But this cannot be exactly clear. We will check a little more closely.
In the diagram below, the green line shows the transaction fee rate. As you can see, in April and May, in addition to the number of transactions decreasing, the ratio of successful transactions to total transactions also decreased. In other words, it can be said that the number of unsuccessful transactions was almost constant, but the number of successful transactions was reduced, and this has caused a decrease in the success rate. In June, with the increase in the number of successful transactions, the success rate has also increased significantly. Although considering the volume of transactions in the first year, the average daily success rate of the last 40 days has not reached the rest of the year, but the trend is upward.
Mainly due to the downward trend of the market, another factor has caused this growth. It can be said that the new improvements of Solana engineers were the reason for it.
The above graphs show the amount of transaction fees paid in two specified time frames. According to the volume of transactions that was reviewed above, this graph also follows the volume of transactions in a linear way, and it is relatively similar to the graph of the number of transactions and the fee paid.
Now, in a smaller time frame, we will make the review more detailed:
In the last 40 days (from the beginning of June to the 10th of July), the transactions that were unsuccessful were identified. From them came the addresses of the 10 wallets that paid the most fees for these failed transactions. In the following, the amount of fee payment for unsuccessful transactions of these 10 wallets is shown in a chart on a daily basis.
You can also categorize these failed transactions based on the program and identify the programs that have paid the highest fees. The chart below shows 5 of the programs that have paid the most fees for failed transactions in the last 10 days.
