4. CURVE - Weekly Fees

    Curve Finance is a DEX and $CRV is the native governance token. In this dashboard, we will take a look at the weekly fees collected by Curve.

    First we take a look at the total fees collected Curve Finance. Curve hit ATH in mid May 2020 with over 400K USD of fees collected in one week and went downhill from there to 50K per week. Recently (September onwards), we saw gradual increase in fees collected.

    If the fees collected denominated in ETH, we saw steep downtrend from March 2021 until July, and the value sideways from there.

    Total number of unique active users has been declining since early last year to this year to date.

    Graph below shows the weekly swaps volume on Curve Finance.

    Now we take a look at how new pools affect its weekly fees collected. For this example, we will use sAAVE and ankrETH pools which both were created in February 2020. For sAAVE pool, we can see that the fees spiked in first few weeks and it went plateau soon after. But for ankETH, the fees collected peaked in first few weeks and gradually decreasing but in September, it caught second wind and increased.

    In conclusion, the fees collected has decreased, together with number of active users. New pools usually caused fees to spike in first few weeks.
