How Many Times was Hop used?

Hop Exchange is a protocol help to facilitate user experience when sending token to layer 2 as a scaling solution. Currently, Hop currently supports the transfer of funds ETH, USDC, MATIC, DAI, and USDT from and to the networks Mainnet, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, and xDai. In this dashboard, we will investigate how many time was the Hop Protocol being used to transfer token to Polygon/Matic network.

Graph below shows the volume of $MATIC bridged daily, together with daily transaction count and unique users count of Hop Protocol. Highest volume was recorded on April 11th with close to 160K $MATIC bridged in 24 different transactions by 24 different users.

Other than $MATIC, Hop Protocol also supported other assets such as $ETH, $DAI, $USDC and $USDC. Let's compare how often users do bridging transaction through Hop Protocol. It seems that $ETH is most popular asset among Hop users, followed by $USDC and then $MATIC.

In conclusion, it seems that the volume and frequency of usage of Hop Protocol is fairly low compared to other Matic bridge like Wormhole and native Polygon bridge. As of recent, Matic network has been overshadowed by newer L2 such as Optimism and Arbitrum hence why we seeing lower volume of bridging from Ethereum to Matic.
