First, let's take a look at the daily volume of ERC20 and BEP2 $RUNE upgraded to native THORChain and the address count. We can see a sudden spike in volume on Jun 14th and most of it come from BEP2 $RUNE however, the address count did not spike accordingly so this could be an upgrade transaction from a whale. We will take a look at the transactions on 14th June.

So, there were 101 $RUNE upgrade transactions on 14th June and total of 54.5M $RUNE upgraded. 99.4% of the total volume come from one address which is bnb1d2lly8mnl8egy69uhgnyjspdgh0294vgp7lp50 who upgraded over 54.2M $RUNE. This particular address has had few big transactions in the past however 54M $RUNE in one day is way bigger that second largest transaction which is ~4M only.

Let's move on and take a look at the monthly $RUNE upgrade metrics and compare the volume and address count between wrapped version ERC-20 vs BEP2. We can see that most of the upgraded volume in 2022 comes from BEP2 version. Each month BEP2 $RUNE made up of at least 80% of that month's upgrade transaction volume. We can notice that average $RUNE upgraded per unique wallet was highest on January and followed by this month of June.

Month of March 2022 has the highest unique address that has performed upgrade transactions with over 2200 addresses and over 88% of the address are from Binance addresses so means they upgrade their BEP2 $RUNE.

In conclusion, for the year of 2022, over 300M $RUNE has been upgraded to native $RUNE thus far and most of the upgrade $RUNE come from BEP2 (97.5%). There has been an uptrend in month of June but the volume is still lower than January
