Introduction

On March 16th 2022, Anchor launched on the Avalanche ecosystem. This means that Avalanche users can now deposit their UST into Anchor and earn 20%. This dashboard aims to provide insight into the numbers of Anchor on Avalanche. We'll look at important metrics like total deposits, daily volume and net deposits and compare these metrics to Anchor on Terra as well.

Methodology

In order to show the total deposits into Anchor Earn on Avalanche, the terra.msgs table was used. To get all the deposit transactions, the filters for the contract address and action were used: 0_contract_address = 'terra10nmmwe8r3g99a9newtqa7a75xfgs2e8z87r2sf' and 1_action = 'deposit_stable'. In order to compare these metrics to Anchor on Terra, the tables anchor.deposits and anchor.redeem were used.

Comparison to Anchor on Terra

Next, we'll look at the same metrics, but also including Terra.

Results

First, we will look at the metrics on Avalanche and then compare them to Terra.

As can be seen, a total of 80M UST has been deposited into Anchor Earn on Avalanche since March 16th.

Key findings

• About 80M UST has been deposited into Anchor Earn on Avalanche since its launch on March 16.
• Since launch, daily net deposits have been positive on Anchor Earn on Avalanche. Anchor on Terra saw two days of negative daily deposits since the launch on Avalanche.
• Daily volume on Anchor Earn on Terra was between 20 and 200 times larger compared to volume on Avalanche.
• Total cumulative deposits on Anchor was about 17 times larger on Terra compared to Avalanche since the launch.

Volume (total deposited + total redeemed) has been quite stable since launch.

Net deposits (total deposited - total redeemed) has not been negative since launch.

We can see that Terra dwarfs the number of Avalanche, seeing 20 to 200 times more volume compared to the volume on Avalanche. When it comes to net deposits, Anchor on Terra did have 2 days (March 24th and 25th) where the total redeemed was larger than the total deposited. Anchor on Avalanche actually performed better on these days as the net deposits were positive on those days.

Finally, we can see that cumulative deposits on Anchor on Terra is about 17 times higher than on Avalanche, with about 1.4B UST.
