Introduction & Methodology

In this dashboard, we'll chart the daily and weekly volume of transferred RUNE on Thorchain. RUNE is transferred if it is sent directly from one wallet to another. In this dashboard, we'll look at data from the last 90 days.

The table thorchain.transfers was used to collect this data. We filter for RUNE using asset = 'THOR.RUNE' and then sum over the rune_amount_usd column to get the total transfer volume of RUNE per day and per week over the last 90 days.

Results

We can see that the total transfer volume of RUNE has seen a rise and fall over the last 90 days. The rise was mainly due to the support for the Terra asset LUNA and UST. They went live on March 25th which resulted in a significant increase in usage of the Thorchain network for the first two weeks or so. However, since April, the transfer volume has been dropping as uncertainty in the entire crypto market is still significant.
