    Definition of a whale

In this dashboard, we define a whale as an address that has a cumulative value of over $1M. This means that if an address holds 500k UST and $600k worth of LUNA, it qualifies as a whale address. This data was collected from the terra.daily_balances table.

    The numbers

Next, we will look at the numbers. First, we define the number of whales. Then we see how many of those whales voted for Terra, Anchor and Mirror proposals. Finally, we look at the unique number of whale voters across Terra, Anchor and Mirror to determine the percentage of whales that has voted.

    Conclusion

As can be seen, about 16% of whales voted for Terra, Anchor and Mirror proposals over the last 90 days. I think this is quite low. Whales usually do a huge amount of research before parking some of their capital on a platform such as Terra. Therefore, we can expect them to know the ins and outs of each protocol. However, judging by the numbers, most of them are not interested in casting a vote to improve this protocol. This is somewhat surprising to me.
